Setting Up an AnyDesk Session on a Mac

If you're experiencing issues connecting to a customer's Mac for remote support, this guide will walk you through the steps to set up an AnyDesk session.

Firstly, ask your customer to locate the Apple logo in their System Preferences. From there, navigate to Security & Privacy > Privacy Tab and click on the lock button at the bottom left-hand side of the panel. This will open up their security and privacy settings.

Next, attempt to connect to the customer's Mac and request them to select the 'Accept' prompt that appears to establish the remote connection.

At this point, your customer will be presented with a button that says 'Configure Permissions.' Ask them to read out the contents of this folder to you as you enter it into your AnyDesk session address box.

If your customer is having trouble locating the AnyDesk application, instruct them to select Finder > Go > Applications. The application should appear in their applications folder.

Once opened, a 9-digit code will appear on the screen. Ask your customer to locate this code and read it out to you.

To access the AnyDesk download, instruct your customer to open Finder > Go (top left inline with the Apple logo) > Downloads. From there, they should be able to drag the downloaded file across to their applications folder.

Once dragged across, your customer will be able to open up the AnyDesk application from their applications folder.

If your customer's broadband is with TalkTalk, they may need to visit their online portal or contact TalkTalk customer service to get unblocked before proceeding.
